A wonderful opportunity to show your work at “The People’s Gallery” at the Delaware Art Museum ………

Hi All

I wanted to share an exciting opportunity that I think many of you will enjoy!

The Delaware Art Museum is launching The People's Gallery, a community exhibition celebrating the incredible creativity of artists throughout Delaware.

The exhibition will feature up to 600 artists, with each artist exhibiting one piece of artwork. Best of all, it is non-juried, making it an inclusive opportunity for artists of all backgrounds and experience levels to have their work displayed at the museum.

Submission Dates:
• July 6 – Opens for Delaware Art Museum Members
• July 8 – Opens for all Delaware residents

Whether you're an emerging artist or have been painting for years, I encourage you to consider participating. It would be wonderful to see many of our Art in Marshallton EnPlein Air artists represented in this special exhibition.

As the museum says:

If you are not a Delaware resident but would still like to participate, you may be eligible by becoming a member of the Delaware Art Museum. Museum members may begin registering on July 6, while registration for Delaware residents opens on July 8. If you live outside Delaware, I encourage you to explore the membership option and confirm your eligibility with the museum.

Artist Requirements & Important Dates

The Delaware Art Museum is inviting up to 600 artists to participate in The People's Gallery, a non-juried community exhibition celebrating artists from across Delaware. Acceptance is on a first-come, first-served basis, so early registration is encouraged. (Delaware Art Museum)

Who Can Enter

  • Delaware residents, age 18 or older

  • Delaware Art Museum Members may register beginning July 6

  • Registration opens to all Delaware residents on July 8 (Delaware Art Museum)

Artwork Requirements

  • One (1) artwork per artist

  • 2D artwork only

  • Maximum size: 32 inches on the longest side

  • Artwork must be ready to hang with secure hanging hardware

  • Artwork must be offered for sale

  • The Delaware Art Museum retains a 30% commission on sales. (Delaware Art Museum)

Submission Deadline

  • Registration closes July 27, or earlier if the exhibition reaches capacity. (Delaware Art Museum)

Artwork Drop-Off
Artists whose work is accepted must deliver their artwork to the museum on one of these dates:

  • July 30 (2:00–7:00 p.m.)

  • July 31 (11:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m.)

  • August 1 (11:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m.) (Delaware Art Museum)

Exhibition Dates

  • August 7 – September 6, 2026
